It has been incredibly dry here this winter. In fact, it hadn't rained in over 70 days - breaking many records. My sister, Emilee was thinking it would be nice to bring her hubby and family down to celebrate Ty's 30th birthday catching some Cactus League spring training baseball. Apparently she has been cursed to cause rain any time she sets her foot in Arizona prior to June 15th of any year, as it always rains when she visits (except in the summer). This time was not exception. Once she said they might come, there were forcasts of 100% humidity for the weekend. So they opted not to drive 12 hours with their newborn, 2 year old and 5 and 8 year olds.
So of course Friday, it didn't rain. but it did look like this.
Amazingly enough, they still played.
Even though a huge puddle covered 15% of the field in one corner.
not our best game - but against a tough challenger and in very adverse conditions.
Tanner did great though.
