Saturday, Trevor picked out a cake at Fry's for his birthday. We talked it over and we decided we would go to Dickey's BBQ for an early celebration. We downloaded gift certificates from Restaurant.com. We drove down, looked at Best Buy and then went to Dickeys. Yea, they no longer accept Restaurant.com vouchers (even though I had just purchased it an hour or so before.) So we let Timm pick a couple movies and what he wanted for dinner and we had ate Roberto's Mexican food and watched some really crappy movies (sucker punch... YUCK!)
We saved the cake, seemingly for Monday. However, it looked good. So Trevor talked us in to lighting candles and singing to him on Sunday night.
The eighth was finally upon us. Trevor and Timm's birthday.
Timm had to work, so with ample birthday wishes, we sent him on his way with a rootbeer in one hand and a diet coke in the other.
Since we did donuts for Tanner's birthday, I came up with something different for Trevor.
Pancakes!
But alas, he slept until noon.
By then the pancakes were cold and he was hurrying to go to the Wet n' Wild water park with Talmage. So apparently, they were just decoration.
He arrived home from the water park around 5:30 to find cake and presents had materialized.
and he wanted to get going on that front.
He dug into the first (high fashion) bag.
It was clothes that he had picked out himself. Clearly he was beside himself with joy!
The next bag held.... Charleston Chews
Underwear....
and WOOHOO, the Xbox game he wanted.
Timm let me take one birthday picture of him. Cute isn't he?
The cake, I agree, was lame. Gotta be honest, I was a little "birthday-ed" out. So they got their homemade German Chocolate. with one side dedicated to Trevor (the Sprinkled side) and one to Timm (the Fishing side).
We lit that puppy up and sang our hearts out!
And then they blew out the candles.
We had originally planned to go get BBQd ribs, but that restaurant was closed on Mondays. No one was hungry or interested in going out. So Trevor and the boys played on the Xbox and Timm and I ran to the library. Finally about 9:30, Tanner and I ran to In&Out for burgers.
You can't go wrong with In&Out!
And alas, Dixon birthday week comes to a close for another year. This mom is glad, cuz she is pooped.
