13? A teenager? come on... No way! This is my baby...
But yes, despite my best efforts, Trevor became a teenager.
Here are thirteen things you may or may not know about Trevor
- He was born on his dad's 30th birthday. His birthday is 8/8/98 and Timm's birthday is 8/8/68.
- Trevor is the youngest of 3 boys and the 4th oldest grandson on the Madsen side. He likes to play with all of the little grandkids and friend's kids since he isn't around little kids that often.
- He was known as Chubber Joe when he was little. Not sure why (hahaha - could it be that he was in the 95th percentile for weight, yet the 50th for height?) The Joe part stuck, at least with his mom. She often calls him Joe or GI Joe.
- Trevor has played baseball, basketball, flag football and lacrosse.
- Trevor is very interested in music. He likes to tinker on the piano/keyboard. He took up the trumpet this year and Killed it! He got a guitar for christmas, but still needs to learn that.
- Trevor does well in school. He got 100% or higher (extra credit words) on nearly every spelling test last year.
- Trevor got lost in the mall when he was 3. We were in a toy store and he was next to Timm looking at stuff, he turned around and followed a "leg" out of the store, not realizing it wasn't Timm. We scoured the place for what seemed like FOREVER (probably 5 mins.) People were helping us. Security was called. I ran down the coridor of the mall crying and yelling for him. We found him at the other end of the mall by the food court crying cuz he had just realized he didn't know where anyone was. This happened the same summer that Elizabeth Smart and several others were kidnapped. Definitely one of the scariest moments of our lives. (Sidebar to this story. When we got home, emotionally drained, Timm and I laid on the couch and the kids went up to play. Tanner came running about 5 minutes later and said Trevor had crawled out on the 2nd story roof. For the next few days, Trevor didn't get to leave our sides.)
- He is very generous with hugs. And people love his cheeks and want to pinch them.
- He is awesome at the Longboard skateboard and loves to ride bikes and often tries to get his mom to ride with him (but she is lazy) He also likes to play tennis.
- He walks two dogs, Albert and Bell three times a week at 7am
- He is going into the 7th grade at Anthem school this year.
- He had RSV when he was little. He is allergic to Penicillin and bee stings (He had the "Professor Klump" hand in Utah this year after he got stung by a bee.)
- Trevor is such a blessing to our family. He is my "little buddy". He is always willing to go with me places, even if many times he doesn't want to. He doesn't ever want people to be sad or upset. We love him so much!
Happy Birthday buddy!
