So this year, we said goodbye to 2009 with a fantastic chinese feast. (Timm learned how to cook chinese food this year, and it has been AWESOME!). Timm, with his apprentice Tanner, made Soy Beef and noodles. Traci made Chicken fried rice and crab puffs and picked up some edemame and sushi at the store. It was DELICIOUS! We ate until we were sick.
Then Trevor brought out the games (this kid loves family game nights!) We played "Fact or Crap", which he got for Christmas from Tanner. We then switched between channels absorbing the "fantastic" smorgesboard of New Year's broadcasts that the networks provide. Did anyone else catch Dick Clark's New Years Rock'in Eve? It was sad and oddly addictive. You just couldn't turn the channel, but it was painful to watch him struggle to speak after his stroke. but I digress.
Jake went to dinner with Franco and then they came back to our house for a long evening of computer games (GEEKS!) He wouldn't go to the Stake New Year's Eve dance...not sure what was up with that.
I bought a package of champagne poppers and Trevor directed us in a symphony of "pop" coinciding with the "ball dropping" countdown. It was extraordinary!
So long 2009 (you can suck it! j/k) Cheers to a delightful new year filled with Health, Wealth, & Happiness!
