Timm was asked to interview on campus at a tiny little community college in a tiny little town called Lamar, Colorado. He wanted me to go with him on this 13 hour car trip, but alas, my work schedule did not permit it. So, I had the brilliant idea to make it a boys only road trip.
The boys weren't super excited to go on that long of a car ride, but they've been sitting here playing video games since school got out and I felt like they really needed an "adventure". Taylor had band practice and a gig, so he didn't go. but on a Tues. afternoon, Timm, Tanner and Trevor took to the open road stuffed in a shiny red Camaro.
Timm did know the way to their hearts was through their stomach. So they stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrel, one of their favorites.

They spent the night in Las Vegas - no not that Las Vegas, the one in New Mexico. Not quite the flash and filth, but it's always a fun night to stay in a hotel. He woke them up nice and early the next day They hit the continental breakfast and then back on the open road. They look thrilled to be at a scenic overlook.
They finally got to Lamar and got to get out of the car for a bit.
to pose at the Amtrak station - not sure why.
They patiently waited for what they thought would be a 1-2 hour interview, but ended up a 4 hour interview and campus tour. Yes, they were bored.
After that they jumped back in the shiny red Camaro and headed back towards the Santa Fe trail.
and of course they stopped for dinner. Timm chose an authentic Mexican restaurant (I am amazed he got them to eat this. For me, the most authentic they will go is Taco Bell or Chipotle - and neither is Tanner's favorite.)
They again spent the night in Las Vegas, NM and then headed back home on Thursday. They pulled in around 3:30 Thursday afternoon. I was glad to see them. And they must have been a little glad to seem me, as I got hugs from both of them. Too bad that feeling didn't last long. How quickly they forget. :)
It wasn't the most action packed fun adventure, but now they can say they have been to New Mexico and Colorado.
