FIFTEEN!

Today is Tanner's fifteenth birthday.  Mind boggling.  So in honor of my Tanner Beaner, aka Bean, aka, Tann, aka, Bean-asaurus Rex, aka Diesel, aka, Tann-a-rama....Here are 15 fun facts about Tanner.

1. Tanner was obsessed with Batman when he was little.  He got his first pair of Batman PJs when he was one and had a pair until he was about 8.  He was batman for Halloween for 5-6 six years in a row. He even had a batman blanket.
2. Tanner was the "runt" of our boys.  He weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz when he was born and was a wiry little thing until he was 8 or so.  Now... well suffice it to say, he's no longer the runt
3. Tanner was a Blue belt in Karate when he was 8 (it goes ....blue, brown, black).  He broke his arm when he first started Karate (on the monkey bars, not at karate).  It was fun to see him do it with his cast.  He was awesome.
4. Tanner has an awesome imagination.  He still likes to "play" fight, especially with anything that resembles a sword.  (Although he sneaks Trevor out to do it, and he thinks we don't realize it.)
5. Tanner has played soccer, baseball, basketball, football and lacrosse and been on the swim team.
6. Tanner aspires to be an Air Force pilot.  He loves anything related with World War II, especially the planes.  He was in Heaven at the Hill Air Force Museum and the flight Museum in Seattle.
7. Tanner has always loved ice cream.  When he was younger he used to eat it with his fingers.
8. When Tanner was a year and a half, he had a seizure while we were at work.  We ran home and sped him up to Primary Children's where it was diagnosed as a febrile seizure due to an ear infection.  There have been few, if any times, I have been so scared in my life.
9. Tanner likes to draw.  He is very good at it.  And he secretly writes, but I haven't read any of it, as he is very private about his writing.
10. We used to wonder if Tanner was half sea otter because he loved to be in the pool and he could swim with amazing ease.  He did swim team for a while in Anthem, but decided it took up too much of his time.  So now he just swims for fun.
11. Tanner has an incredible heart.  When he knocks someone down in football or lacrosse, he always helps them up and makes sure they are OK.  He hates to see others hurting.
12. He is fiercely loyal.  While he fights with his brothers sometimes, he has always been the first to defend them to any and all who mess with them.
13. He is shy until he feels comfortable with you and then he will talk your ear off.
14. He LOVES root beer and cream soda
15. He registers for high school tomorrow.  He will be a Freshman at Boulder Creek High School (I am dying!).
