Timm got to come home for the first time since Christmas break. He helped drive the bus for the Softball team, who was playing in Tucson.
So, for the 2nd time in a week (and only the 2nd time in years), Jake drove back to Tucson to pick up Timm. (Traci had work meetings.)
We did a lot of hanging out - watched a lot of movies.
Ate out A LOT!
Timm had a list of things that aren't available in Lamar, that he had been craving
Tues. Timm, Traci and Jake went to lunch at Shanghai Club - Jake's favorite and hung with Jake.
Wed. Trevor wanted to stay home to "spend time" with Timm. They hung and watched movies.
Thurs. night Tanner went with Timm and Traci to the AT&T store. We were going to take just him to eat, but we decided to have Jake and Trevor meet us at Denny's for a "delicious" late dinner..
They bonded over games on the phone.
Friday Tanner got to stay home from first hour (because everyone else missed school to hang with dad), but had to go to the rest to make sure he was caught up. So after school, we took Tanner to Barnes and Nobel and then to Logan's Roadhouse for a late lunch.
It's so good to have him home, at least for a bit. He enjoys his time and all the things he misses.
Sunday, at the buttcrack of dawn- ok even before dawn (4:30am) Timm and Traci jumped back in the car and headed back to Tucson for the 3rd time in 8 days so Timm could meet the bus.
It stinks to have him in Lamar and us in Anthem. We all miss him, but we are surviving. We are excited that he has this opportunity and is doing well at it. But cautious about uprooting the whole family for a "starting point" job.
The good thing is that now that the basketball season is over, he can come home more often. We are already booking his next trip!
