So Jake's 2nd game was a blow out. I thought they played Kingman (per the schedule), but in fact they played Tolleson, and they beat them 39-6. My favorite Jag finally saw a little playing time (3 plays) and got a tackle - GO JAKE!
Thank You for Your support! The Anthem Ward YM organization was at the game to support their two quorum members on the Freshman team. A very cool thing! On the downside, by the time Jake went in (in the 4th quarter) most of them had left.
Hint to coaches everywhere - when you are going into the 2nd half up by 4 touch downs, with the other team yet to score, that might be a good time to sit down your starters - especially those who have been playing both directions. Games like that tend to get sloppy and desperate, your "go to" guys (who I admit are very Good players!) might get hurt. And....what harm would it do to give the other guys on the team a little experience, in case those "go to" guys ever get hurt.
